When people first started using rounded corners it seems like everybody had them on their website. I remember saying to myself, “How did they make them”. I searched and searched but it seemed like I could not find the answer I was looking for. I did find some videos about it but they seemed to be too complicated. I remember finding a video on slicing using Photoshop but I also learned that photos can slow down your website. It’s funny because this very blog that you are reading this on, is very slow but I the pictures are needed. As of today I still have not made a website using Photoshop but maybe in the near future I might start I project!
I found a blog post that explained border radius but it seemed like a lot of work. You had to have a lot of knowledge about pixels but now that I look back on it, they might have been talking about the same thing that is in this video. I guess at the time, I did not understand it.
I also found a blog post that talked about a code that would automatically round all four corners but it only worked correctly in Firefox. You could make it work in other browsers but it would require more coding and I didn’t feel like doing that. This was back when Firefox was just getting popular. That was years ago and since then I switched to Google chrome. I guess all the add-ons I install were too much because it would always crash. I still have Firefox installed on my computer and I do use it from time to time but Google chrome as current my default browser.
The video on this page, I think, is the best video to learn about rounding corners using CSS/HTML. You might be asking yourself, why do I need to learn about rounding corners using CSS when most of today’s website building software can round corners with one click of a button. That’s true; most of today’s website building software does have this feature and I use some of them myself but one day you are going to need to hire somebody to do some programming for you and This knowledge is going to help you make the right decision. Whether what you need some done because it is beyond the scoop of your knowledge or you just don’t have to time to do it and are willing to pay somebody else to do the work for you.
When you are debating on hiring somebody, the first thing you want to do is look at their portfolio. By doing this you can see how advance they are. If the person you are interested in does not have one, be carefully. They ether just starting out or unqualified.
As an Internet marketer you will need a lot of websites built for all the different affiliate products you’re going to be promoting. Some of you will need a website built for your own product. For example, I saw a nice clean one page website. The colors were nice and it was simple work. It was just what I wanted so I sent the webmaster an email asking could he make me one and if he could, how much it would cost. He came back with a $300 plus price. If I don’t know what all had to be done, I would have taught that was a good price.
The conclusion of all of this is this video has so good knowledge about CSS. All Internet Marketer and Web Designers should watch and take notes. If you have an example of a CSS rounded corners built from the knowledge of this video, I would love for you to post a link to it in the comment section below.
