The Free Marketing Lifestyle Contest

The Free Marketing Lifestyle contest is starting Monday June 15, 2015 at 12 noon Eastern Standard Time. Don’t miss your opportunity to win up to $1,000 per day! That’s $5,000 in one week! There are second, third and fourth prizes so all together you have four chances to take home some money but don't wait, join NOW, the contest ends Friday June 19, 2015.

The Free Marketing Lifestyle contest is a lead generating contest. Everyone that joins and validates his or her email will count as a lead! It’s that simple! If you bring in the most leads that day, you win $1,000!

The Free Marketing Lifestyle Contest breakdown: The Free Marketing Lifestyle Contest

  • First prize each day is $1,000
  • Second prize each day is $500
  • Third prize each day is $250
  • Fourth prize each day is $250

As you see above, even if you are not the top producer of the day, you still have a chance to win some prize money! If you only come in fourth place every day, you get $250, which equals to $1,250! What would you do with an extra $1,250? Pay some bills; take a vacation, save it? I don’t know about you but an extra $1,250 would sure make things a little less stressful.

The money is great but there are other benefits to promoting this contest! The leads that you generate are automatically placed in your Free Marketing Lifestyle email campaign. Meaning, they will be hard coded to you so if they decide to upgrade the same day, Friday or a month from now, you will still get a commission! In addition, there is a done for you autoresponder email follow up series that will be sent out on your behalf!

Update: 06/16/2015 You will not get a free email autoresponder follow up series.

So let’s say you refer a lead on Monday and that lead does not upgrade. There are a lot of reasons why a person does not upgrade but let’s say this person joined while they were at work, on their lunch break and didn't have time to really watch the video and take it all in.

After work, they are tired but still have to spend time with the family. After family time, it is almost time to get ready for the next day and go to bed. The next day an email is sent reminding them again about the Free Marketing Lifestyle. The whole week emails are sent but this person has the same routine, going to work, spend time with family and go to bed but when Friday comes, things change. He doesn't have to work the next day and because they have been seeing the follow up emails, it has been in the back of their mine, all week. Therefore, this person checks out the video, has enough time to really see the value, and joins! If there were, no email follow ups, this person might have forgot all about it

Another example is someone that opt-in but do not have the money to upgrade until Friday (Payday)!

The done for you auto responder series saves you time and the prize money is a great motivation but the best reason to promote this contest is you get access to PureLeverage tool suite!

PrueLeverage has been around for years and I bet most of you have seen it before but for some reason never join. Now is the time to join! Join NOW and get the chance to win up to $1,000 per day!

When starting out marketing online most people start with eBay or Amazon (well, that was the case for me). When I started out, I started selling on eBay and one of the first things I noticed was, you had to wait about 7 to 10 days to be paid. I didn’t give up but after a month or two, I started looking for another way to make money online. I didn’t stop selling on eBay, in a matter of fact; I still sell on there today. The only drawback to selling physical products is when a sale comes in; you have to be able to ship it in the time that you specified. What if you decide to go on a cruise that was for 7 or 14 days and you received a sale? Unless you had somebody to ship it for you, you would not be able to ship it and your customer might cancel the order and give a bad rating. I just knew, it had to be a better way.

I remember signing up to fill out surveys. Thinking if I could do $5 worth of surveys in 15 minutes, I could make $20 an hour but soon after that, I started to realize it would take more than 30 minutes to fill out some of them. I signed up with several different companies. I don’t remember exactly how much I was being paid for each survey but I think it was about $1 to $2.50. If you do the math, $2.50 multiplied by 2 is $5, 30 minutes each, which is only $5 an hour. For that much, I would be better off working at McDonalds.

One of the survey companies that I signed up with did movie surveys and I thought this could be my dream job, watching movies and being paid to do so! I can remember that most of them were pilots for upcoming TV shows and video trailers for movies. It was more like a focus group because they wanted your opinion on the different trailers so they could decide which version to use when they premier it. In marketing terms, it was an A/B split test. When doing a split test, usually you show 50% of your traffic 1 version of your squeeze page and the other 50% the other version.  In this case, they showed you both. This is how it worked. After you watch the clip, they asked you questions like how does the part of the man standing next to the red car makes you feel. Then they would show you a picture of the same man standing next to a green car and ask you the same question.

Since most of the movies were trailers and clips of pilot TV shows, it wasn’t as if you could pop some popcorn, get a soda, sit back, relax and enjoy the movie.  In addition, just think about it, you watch a 5-minute clip and the survey takes about 25 minutes to complete. It was fun while it lasted but I had to move on.

While searching for another way to make money online, I came across some information about affiliate marketing. I found an Internet marketer that was paying 75% commissions! After finding that, I started looking for more. While looking, I learned about sites like click bank and commission junction. The way I was thinking was, all I had to do was find a product that was selling for $5,000 and I would be rich (so I thought)! The problem at the time, was I could not find any products that cost $5,000 and at that price, paying 75% commission.

I was still searching for ways to make money online and then I came across a marketer that was selling three of his products that he claims made him a lot of money. It wasn’t anything special about this claim, just about all marketers tell you they made a lot of money with some sort of product. However, he was selling something that I never heard of before, resell rights! Resell rights gave me the right to keep all the profit but the question was, how do I get people to buy these products from me?

Up to this point I was on eBay but didn’t want to be tied down to my inventory, filled out some surveys but the money was not worth the time, found out about affiliate marketing and found a product that I could call my own. The only thing I didn’t find was how to sell them. Up until this point, I didn’t know about squeeze pages or building a list but at the time, there was a lot of talk about Facebook PPC. I brought a course and had success getting likes for my fan page. In Addition, I was getting them for a penny a click! Facebook has since changed and the same people I was targeting back then, cost two cents or more now. You can check out some of my Facebook pages on my website.

By now, you might be wondering, what in the world does this have to do with the best affiliate marketing programs for beginners? The reason I was telling you my past experiences was because I wanted to paint a picture for you of how long I have been doing this. The stories I was telling you, happen over a period of years, not days or weeks and not right after another. I think I switch three jobs in that time period. It took me into now to find an affiliate program that would be perfect for beginners! The affiliate program that would be perfect for beginners is call SFI.

SFI stand for Strong Figure Income and the best thing about it is, it’s free to join! That is the number one reason it is perfect for beginners. When I first started, I passed up a lot of great products and programs just because they were not free. If you are a beginner, I know you are not going to pay $2,000 for a product that you would not know how to use even if you did buy it.

Being free is just one of the reasons why I would say it is one of the best affiliate marketing programs for beginners. Another reason is, they teach you by rewarding you just for doing some of the basic marketing principles. The basic marketing principles are getting leads and following up with them. Some marketer’s advise you to send follow up emails every day. SFI recommends you send once a week and post 3 times to your stream. They have a point system that motivates you to do this and what most people don’t realize, this is the same thing that some of the top successful marketers will charge you hundreds of dollars if you want to learn.

Another reason why I would say SFI is one of the best affiliate marketing programs for beginners is, TripleClicks. TripleClicks is an ecommerce website and you get commissions for every product you help to promote! Currently they have 89,094 products and services from more than 160 countries around the world! You can even open up a store and sell your own products! Maybe, the reason I like this is that I started out on eBay. TripleClicks is quick, simple, and easy.

What is the best hosting for online marketing

Web hosting is one of two things you need to start an online business. The other thing is a domain. Think of web hosting as a storage locker. You can store all the stuff you want and you are the only one with the key. However, instead of old furniture, winter clothes, its pictures, documents and files.

There are several different types of hosting. It all depends on what you are trying to do. You have free hosting, shared hosting, reseller accounts, and dedicated servers. Free hosting is what most of you are already using. Facebook is a good example of free hosting but there are other free web hosting sites that will allow you to create your very own website/blog. The only drawbacks are some of these companies will force you to display sponsor ads on your site, won’t give you access to your cPanel or force you to display a company banner somewhere.

With the display of their sponsor ads, you won’t get any money. You would be making money for the company and you would not be able to make any yourself. Without access to your cPanel, you would be left in the dark. You won’t be able to create any sub domains, look at your stats yourself and if you have the company banner on your site, the company will be getting free leads from you and you won’t be credited for them. These types of companies are good when you are first starting out or if you just need a place to share some files but once you start to learn more about marketing, you are going to have to stop using these sites and move on to our next type, paid.

Paid hosting gives you access to just about the whole server, depending on what type of hosting you get. Most people when getting a paid hosting account don’t realize the server that you are renting is shared with other users. This is not a bad thing but if your site starts getting a lot of traffic or one of your scripts are using too many resources (CPU, memory, etc.), there is going to be a problem.

If you are at the point of needing a dedicated server, you have several options to choose from. A dedicated server is just how it sounds. The server is dedicated to you and you only. Dedicated servers now come in two different types, standard and cloud. A standard dedicated server is a traditional server that is stored at a physical location. Usually there are engineers at the location to fix any problem and perform upgrades went needed.

A standard dedicated server is good because of its security. They are usually stored at a physical location with people there that can address any situation that comes up but a dedicated cloud server is secure too and it gives you loads of flexibility. Let’s say you have a store and all of your data for the last ten years are stored on a standard traditional server locked in a room in the basement. When you leave your store, you can’t access some of it but if your data were hosted on a dedicated cloud server, you would be able to access all your data even if you were on a business trip in china. There are ways you can get around this using a traditional server but for this post, we are not going to go into that. Another example is, if your store catches on fire. All your data for the last 10 years would be destroyed. If you were hosting with a dedicated cloud server, the only thing would be destroyed would be your physical store but your business would be still out and running!

Choosing between a standard and cloud dedicated server is up to you but maybe you might not need a dedicated server. Maybe the solution for you is a reseller account. If some of your team members are asking you, “what is the best hosting for online marketing”, maybe you should start your own hosting company and get a reseller account! A reseller account allows you to sell a portion of your storage and bandwidth. You can get a reseller account with a shared or dedicated server; it only depends on the company.

It is essential have your own(paid) hosting if you are trying to do any online marketing. When doing on-page SEO, one of the first steps should be verifying your site. I remember one of the companies that i used when I first started online. They would not let me modify the header your have access to my cPanel. This was years ago and the only way to claim your site was to have access to your cPanel or be able to modify the code. Well, looking back, they might have been other ways but as a newbie, I wasn’t aware of them. Another reason why you need paid hosting is advertizing (Affiliate banners, Google adsense, etc.)

To make some extra money, you can install banners from different affiliate products or install Google adsense. In addition, you might want to add a Facebook like box to show off your fanpage but one of the options call for pasting some code in the header. If you don't have access to do this, you can't put it on your site. When doing any online marketing, you want to look professional. A GoDaddy banner at the bottom of your site does not say professional.

One of the best reasons you need your own (paid) hosting is because you can install WordPress. WordPress also has a free hosting solution but the drawbacks are the same as I mentioned before. The one thing WordPress is good for is you don’t need to know too much about coding. WordPress also have thousands of plug-ins you can choose. If you don’t know what plug-ins are, just think of them as custom rims on your car or getting a tune up. Some plug-ins makes your website look good and some will give your site more power!

Through all my years of marketing online, I have been with several hosting companies but the company that I have found is the best hosting for online marketing is a company call Global Virtual Opportunities (GVO). GVO is the best hosting for online marketing because you get all the tools you need to start and run a online business. All you have to do is pick a domain and set up your hosting. In addition, you get a auto responder, web conferencing software, access to the “Easy Video Producer” and more!

An autoresponder is the backbone of all businesses. I am not going to go into too many details but if you want to learn more about auto responders, read my post titled, “What is a autoresponder”. With just hosting and an autoresponder, you can build a list and start making money, but wait! Once you build a list, you are going to need a way to communicate and motivate your subscribers. One strategy is having webinars. Having webinars is a marketing strategy that gets your attendees out of their comfort zone. A live event will make people pay attention more than a pre-recorded video. The reason behind this is, if a person knows they can stop, pause and come back later, there is no urgency to buy. If the event is live and the attendees know that after the video is over, there won't be a way to see it again or buy the product your selling, the urgency to buy now is present, which equals more sales!. Webinars are something that all the gurus are doing now but have you seen how much some of the webinar software companies are charging? It’s about a hundred dollars a month but with GVO, it’s included with hosting!

Another reason GVO is the best hosting for online marketing is the, “Easy Video Producer”. Most people now days use YouTube to host there videos but GVO gives you the option to host with them and the best part about this is it doesn't cost extra! With the Easy Video Producer, you can upload a video and then embed it in one of their pre built squeeze pages. That’s another reason, they have prebuilt video and regular squeeze pages. Squeeze pages are something you need to build a list. You can read more about it in my post titled, “What is a squeezepage” and “How to build a Email List”.

So there you have it. GVO is a one-stop website hosting and marketing tools suit that makes it easy to run your business! You can get everything I just talked about for one low price. Sign up NOW!

How to drive traffic to my website?

How to drive traffic to my website? That’s the million dollar question. Just about all businesses, internet marketers or anybody with a website have asked this question. Only after, they have learned the more visitors to your site, increases the chances of someone buying whatever it is you are selling. Getting traffic to your site is just as important as the site itself. You could have the latest and greatest he-man action figure, the one with the kung-fu grip but if nobody knows you have it, then nobody knows where to buy it.

When driving traffic, it is important that you get the best traffic you can possibly get. What I mean is, if you are selling a $5,000 product and you are getting traffic from somebody or a company that the majority of it is high school student, then most likely there is going to be a money issue. However, if the majority of the traffic is making $300,000.00 per year, own their own home, and opted-in before to receive information a product that is similar to your $5000 product, the money issue is not a factor.

Getting traffic to your site is easy but getting people to buy your products is another story.

– Rodney Brooks Jr.

Getting traffic to your site is easy but getting people to buy your products is another story. To get the best results target only the people that are interested in your product. The old saying is “don’t feed pizza fish”. What do fish eat? They differently don’t eat pizza.

There are tons of ways to drive traffic to your site but you can put them in two categories, paid and free. Paid traffic is the quickest and easiest but most people don’t want to spend the money. One of my favorite paid traffic strategies are solo ads. Solo ads brings traffic to your site and at the same time builds you a list of people that you can email in the future, bringing you instant traffic! Just like I mention before, make sure they are quality solo ads. Once you have found a reliable source, all you have to do is create a budget. There are some other things you have to do but I’m not going to go in to details. If you want to learn more about solo ads and list building, read my post title, “Solo ads are the key to list building”.

Some other paid traffic strategies are Pay Per Click (PPC), Click Per Acquisition (CPA) aka Cost Per Action, Pay Per Visit (PPV), and just regular Media buys and don’t forget about offline methods like print ads, TV, radio, etc. There are plenty of other paid traffic strategies and any one will bring you tons of traffic to your website but out of the bunch, Pay Per Click (PPC) is the one I have had the most success with. When talking about Pay Per Click (PPC) the first thing comes to mind is Google. Google is the most popular site when talking about PPC but in addition, you also have other companies like Facebook, Bling, etc.

Facebook PPC is one of my favorites. On a combination of several different fan pages, I have accumulated over 100,000 likes! .If you didn't know, Facebook is the number two most popular site on the internet. Google is number one so if you master both of them, you can pretty much say, you have all the traffic.
Facebook and Google both have PPC but Facebook PPC is different. All ads are picture ads and no matter what a person is searching for, your ad shows automatically. With Google, your ad only shows when a person is doing a search. Google does have a display network but for this post, I’m going to keep it simple.

With Facebook, you can drive traffic to your site and your page. Driving traffic to your page is good if you are trying to get more page likes. Using a fan gate is what helped me. A fan gate will force a person to like your page before seeing your content but Facebook don't allow you to do this anymore.

Picture5For getting traffic to your website, you can create an ad with an objection to get people to click thru to your website but I have found, boosting a post works better. You can still have the option to adjust your pricing and targeting. The advantage of this is, the person goes to your post first, checks out your page/profile and then your website.

I have found myself, after clicking on somebody’s ad and it takes me directly to their website, Going back to Facebook trying to find more information about them, even if it’s on their site. However, if I go to their Facebook page first, the first thing I do is check to see if they have a website. In addition, I have heard other marketers say, if they are on Facebook, they want to stay on Facebook. Meaning, if the ad takes them outside of Facebook, they are less likely to view the site. Pay Per Click (PPC), Facebook, Google or any other company is a great way to drive traffic to your website. You can pay, as little as one cent per click and you can pick only the keywords or interests that are similar to your product. If you need any help or have any questions, please send me a message and I will get back with you as soon as I can.

Driving traffic to your site using free methods is great if you have the time. One of the free methods is what I am doing right now, blogging. Other methods to get traffic free are Article marketing, Vlogging, word of mouth and so on. If you ask me, blogging is the same thing as article marketing. You both write articles but the only thing different is, you will be publishing one to a blogging platform and one to an article directory. Out of all the free methods I mention, blogging is my favorite! However, I have my own hosting so it is not truly free but you can do just about the same things. When I first started online, I used to use the free ones (Blogger, Squidoo, Tumblr, etc.) and I still use them today. Why not, their free.

With blogging, its just like a website and you can write and post just about anything you want! If you ever heard the phrase, “content is king” well it’s true. Just imagine you have one word on one page. Your site would only come up if someone were searching for that one word but what if you have 500, 1000, or 2000 words on a page. It’s more to this then just words on a page and we are now talking about SEO but I think you get the picture? If you still don’t get it, then let me give you an example. What if you wrote one article a week, just one. That would be four a month and 48 a year. If your blog posts are about 1,000 words each, that’s 120,000 possible keywords. That alone with bring some traffic but you have to write your post so the search engines will know what your article is about. This is called Search engine optimization (SEO).

Search engine optimization (SEO) has a lot of rules too remember. I guess if you write them down you could just go down the list but me personally, I brought a plug in that have all the rules and lets you know if you need to do some more or even if you overdone it.

Blogging is a great free traffic strategy. The first thing you need to do is figure out how long will it take you to write a post. Then make sure you post at least once per week. The on-page SEO will help people find your site but you still have to promote it. When you start to drive traffic to your blog, you should first send an email to your list (if you have one). This will get traffic to your website. Then post to your social media accounts and after that do some paid advertising.

The best place to start out blogging is with a company called Global Virtual Opportunities(GVO) The reason why I pick GVO, is because you get hosting and a lot of other marketing tools that you will need as you get more advanced. Empower network is another great company that will give you a blogging platform. There are other companies that give you the tools you need to start blogging. These are just some.

If you already have a website and I am assuming you do, the first step is to do some paid advertising. The best place I have found to buy solo ads are Udimi.com and Safe-swaps.com. They have hundreds if not thousands of solo ad venders and they have buyer fraud protection. I know I didn’t go into much details about CPA and PPV but a good site for CPA is PeerFly.com and a good site for PPV is adf.ly.

My favorite out of these two is adf.ly. The reason is you can get a thousand visitors for about a dollar. It only depends on what country you want the traffic form and what type. The best part is, as soon as your link is approved, your traffic starts instant! If you have a squeeze page that you just created, for five dollars, you can get about five thousands visits!

If you would like to learn more about how you can drive traffic to your website, read my post title, “How To Get More Website Traffic” and always remember,

Getting traffic to your site is easy but getting people to buy your products is another story.

Leave the Pain of Newsletter Design To Us - AWeber Email Marketing

Regardless of the approach you’ve taken for your email marketing campaign, the reality is that a strong email marketing campaign always leads to increased sales, higher lead conversions and brand awareness for the business organization.

Dare to Take Charge How to Live Your Life on Purpose

Dare to Take Charge How to Live Your Life on Purpose

Due to this, most online marketers ask you to pay a lot of attention to why email marketing campaigns are important for your core online marketing strategy. This allows you to focus on developing an effective campaign, and use the right kind of tools to support your strategy.

An email autoresponder is one of the most effective tools you can use to strengthen your email marketing campaign. Choosing an email autoresponder can be tricky. In this post, we have explained everything about an email autoresponder, and the key features you need to look for in an autoresponder.

What is an Autoresponder?

An autoresponder is a very simple, yet effective email marketing tool that allows you to send a specific set of scheduled follow up mails to shoppers. These mails are sent on the basis of specific parameters you choose to apply.

For instance, you may need to send a standard follow up email to all the customers who purchase a particular item. This follow up email may contain a coupon you want to send to specific customers. It is also possible that you just want them to gather information about products and accessories. An autoresponder can be applied in many such situations.

Most autoresponders are designed with two individual components that work together. These have been discussed below :

  • Autoresponder – An automated email-marketing campaign contains a set of messages that are sent to shoppers when certain actions are triggered.
  • Automation Rules – Rules are a set of situational actions and triggers you specify. They determine when and where autoresponder messages are applicable.

In the last few years, autoresponders sending sequential follow up messages have been used more and more by professional internet marketers. When it comes to getting an autoresponder, there are two different options.

One options is to buy professional autoresponder software that you want to install. You can even install a professional to hire the software on your system. If you have technical knowledge, you can handle software installation without any problems. It won’t take long before you’re changing email protocols, managing bounces and other technical issues.

On the other hand, if you want to focus on your actual purpose of marketing, run your business operations and create messages, it is important to use a hosted autoresponder service. When you choose a hosted autoresponder service, you will receive some special benefits.

The autoresponder seller or company will make sure that all kinds of software and hardware issues are quickly resolved. Moreover, the company will also make constant efforts to keep the software updated with changing market trends.

Most online marketers choose to pay a monthly fee so that technically proficient professionals can focus on various technical requirements, while marketers focus on business operations. Once you have chosen a specific autoresponder service, the next step is to create specific messages that will be sent by the autoresponder.

It is always better to create 5-7 follow up messages. Many different marketing studies have proved that it can easily take about 7 contacts before the customer decides to purchase anything from you. It is worth mentioning that a follow up autoresponder can help you maximize profits by capturing valuable visitor information, and helping convert leads into customers.

Features You Need to Look for

An autoresponder needs to have some basic features. It should give you some abilities to strengthen your marketing campaign. For instance, it should :

  • Manage and Create unlimited mailing lists
  • Send numerous emails via Amazon SES, Client’s Host, Gmail, SMTP, SendGrid and more
  • Create unlimited autoresponder sequences for exceptional profit and power
  • Instantly allow you to see data and statistics for who clicked, took desired action and opened the emails

Other features an email autoresponder should include:

Advanced Abilities

The tool you use should be able to pull Facebook demographics. Such a tool will allow you to focus on certain clients while targeting their gender, age, location or whatever you prefer. This provides numerous benefits including :

  • You are not added to the junk list.
  • You never lose someone on the basis of age, gender or location.
  • You can easily strengthen your relationship with existing clients and build a relationship with prospective clients.

Social Media Opt In

It should allow you to opt in by a single click of the button to your social media account. The autoresponder should also support Google and Facebook accounts. You should be able to add your clients on various social media accounts and connect with them wherever they feel comfortable.

Open API

With an open API, you can easily have customized applications and integrate them with the email autoresponder. Moreover, you can also integrate the autoresponder with your own systems.

QR Codes Opt In

The tool should allow you to scan a QR code with a smartphone or tablet. This allows you to eliminate all psychological barriers related to traditional methods. You can easily step up your game.

Import Lists

If you are currently using another autoresponder service and have a contact list, you should be able to import it to your new account. This will make sure you don’t lose your current email list. When you import lists from your old service, the demographic settings and social media profiles should stay intact.

Training Videos

Every feature of the email autoresponder should be described with a training video on the respective page. You shouldn't have to hunt for information all over the internet. You should be able to straight away get started as soon as you sign up.

These are some of the features you should look for in an email autoresponder. You need to look for all these features to make sure you’re able to strengthen your email marketing campaign. These days, you can find a lot of autoresponders in the market.

Some of the best ones include GetResponse, Aweber, and GVO. They have been designed by marketing experts to make sure your email marketing campaign benefits, and gives great returns.

For more about autoresponders, read the blog post titled, “What is an email autoresponder?”

How To Get More Website Traffic

Making money online is almost impossible if you have little or no traffic coming to your website. So, how do you get more traffic? That's the question that everybody wants to know.

With my years of experience giving away, something free is the first thing every Internet marketing guru tells you to do. However, the only way this will work is if people see your offer and the only way people are going to see your offer is if you have traffic.

There are many different ways to get more website traffic. One way to get more website traffic is Facebook. but before you go posting there are something’s you should keep in mind. You have to stay focus on your goal and your goal is to get people to opt-in to your list. The way I am going to show you how to get people to opt-in, will at the same time get you free traffic to your website. The first thing you are going to have to get is hosting and a domain.

For your domain, I would recommend GoDaddy.com. For hosting, I recommend Hostgator.com. Once you have your domain and hosting. Go to your cPanel and under “Software/Service”, click on QuickInstall.

Click OuickInstallThen look to your left and under blog software, click on WordPress.  Click Blog Software

Some information about WordPress will come up, just click continue. Click Continue Select your domain from the drop down menu and fill in the rest of the information. Install WordPressThe reason why I am telling you, you need to install WordPress on your domain is because of your squeeze page and tracking program. They are both WordPress plug-ins.

The first plug-in is called Hybrid-connect. With Hybrid-connect, you can create squeeze pages (also known as a landing page), light boxes, slide-ins. Hybrid-connect allows you to create the kind of squeeze pages with picture backgrounds, and if you really want to make your squeeze page look impressive, you should use a gif

Light boxes and slide-ins are similar to a squeeze page but a light box, pops ups and will not go away until you exit out or do the requested action. A slide–in does just that, it slides in. You can have it slide in from the top, bottom, right, or left. Depending on how you set your settings, you can also dictate the position of where you want it to stop.

There are other features, like automatically displaying an opt-in form at the bottom each blog post and page. They also give you the WordPress short code. You can display your opt-in form anywhere on your website!

The most user-friendly feature is how you get your squeeze page to display. All you have to do is enable the squeeze page to show on a page you created and when you or somebody, goes to that page the squeeze page will automatically show up.

Another great feature is hint, the word hybrid. Hybrid-connect will automatically detect if a person is logged into Facebook and display a sign up Facebook button.

If the person is logged into WordPress, it will automatically show a one click WordPress sign up button

opt-in3

If the person is not logged into Facebook or WordPress, it will show the standard name and email fields.

The only way to get more website traffic is to spread the word. But once they get there, then what? How do you keep them coming back for more?

Many people just create daily content and hope somebody searches for it. This is just not enough. You have to promote it. Building a list is the best way to do this. Your list is traffic that you own. What I mean by owning it is, you do not have to rent, pay, or follow the policies and posting rules of some other company. In addition, the people that opt-in, opt-in because they like you, they like what you are saying and they want to know more to the point that they are willing to give you their email address!

After you built a list and for now on, every time you create a post all you have to do is send your list an email and you will have instant traffic! However, just because you send an email to your list, does not guarantee that everybody on list will open and click on your link. If they do not know who you are or if your content is garbage, they will never open your emails and they might even unsubscribe.

Go to hybrid-connect.com. You can choose from a single site, multi-site, or a professional license.

Now that you have your squeeze page set up, you are finally ready to start driving traffic to it. According to alexa.com Facebook is the second most popular website on the internet. The number one most popular website is Google. You can understand that since the first thing people do online is search for something. They also own YouTube, which is number three.

The reason why I am telling you this is that every time I mention the word Facebook, most people frown up their faces. I can somewhat relate because when Facebook first came out, it took me years to create an account. The only reason is at that time Facebook and MySpace were perceived to be for young kids playing games and trying to get a date. When Facebook started to grow and more marketers started doing training on it, I saw the opportunity and joined.

If you are anything like me you need to realize that just because you are not on Facebook, does not mean your customers or prospects are not. It will be a lot easier to convince a prospect or customer, to join your team or buy something from you if you have a present on the number two most visited website on the internet!

I am not saying spend eight hours a day on there but at the very least, you should create a profile. Now of days, almost everybody goes online first before deciding to buy something. If you or your company does not have a presence, then most likely those people are going to think you are a fraud.

If you have not already created an account, create one and after that create a page. If you do not have a company, just use your name. I have several Facebook pages but my main page is Rodney Brooks Jr. Depending on when you are reading this, currently, I don’t have too much on there but starting today, this is the one that I am going to be working on the most.

Two months ago, I created a new website for a page that I did just for fun.  On my fanpage, I got over 6,000 likes and on my website; I got close to 20,000 visitors in the month of June! All I did was post pictures and videos at the peak times most of my fans were online. The only other thing I did besides posting at peak times was, posting a link to my website in the description.

Below is proof! Look at the date I took this screen shot. As you can see this site has only been up for three months. Along with the 25,787 views, I got 419 WordPress users and 161 subscribers to my list!

users

subscribers

The only way I would have known this data, was through tracking. WordPress comes with its own built-in tracking. The first three-pictures are an example the jetpack plug-in, which is free. All you have to do is activate it.

jetpack

The last picture is of my getresponse autoresponder. If you want to read a little more about autoresponders, go to my post titled, ‘What is an email autoresponder”. I explain more about autoresponders and mention several others too but for this post, I recommend getresponse. In the future, I will tell you why.

The only drawback with WordPress's jetpack tracking plug-in is, you cannot track actions or sales. For this, I recommend adtrackgold.

Adtrackgold is a ad-tracking software program. It allows you to track how many people clicked your link, how many people took action (signed up), how many people brought (sales) your product, split test, and more! The picture below is how the stats look. These two campaigns were for clicks and actions only.

The first campaign was for the page I mention earlier. The second campaign was for a page that I am currently one of the content managers. My goal was to see if anybody was clicking on my link and opting-in afterward. As you can see my first campaign got 1,489 raw clicks, 942 unique clicks and 156 actions (sign ups). My click thru rate was not that great but I got 156 free subscribers! The second campaign I got 20 free subscribers from the page that I am a content manager!

Conclusion

Go to Adtrackgold.com and hybrid-connect.com. download, and install the two plug-ins. After you have installed and activated them, write a blog post and if you have a list, send them an email letting them know you just created a new post. The next step is choosing a picture to post on Facebook. Once you have chosen one, make sure you post a link to the blog post you just created in the description..

After that, choose another picture or video that you think is funny, cute or inspirational. post this one about two hours after your blog post. Place a link in the description to the squeeze page that you created in this one.

How to increase your Alexa rank

Alexa rank results

Alexa is the Web Information Company that is owned by Amazon.com. Founded in 1996 they provide FREE web analytics for people worldwide.

Alexa is one of those “must use” tools you need if you are trying to get traffic to your blog or website. Every time you post an articles or change something on your site, you can see whether it helped or made it worst.  Alexa is not the same as Google’s pagerank. You don’t get a score that determines the position you are in the search results. Alexa is all about traffic!

Alexa shows you an estimate of your site's popularity. So suppose your Alexa rank is 312,077. That means there are 312,077 more popularity websites. Take facebook for example. There Alexa rank is two. That means, there are only one other website that is more popularly and that’s Google.

If you have a blog or a website, one of your goals should be getting more people to come to your website. The more people that see your site, the more chances somebody will buy what you are selling. There are a lot of ways to get traffic to your site but if you don’t do it right, it will back fire.

My first website was an eCommerce website and just starting out I had a pagerank of two! After learning more about pagerank I wanted to see how I could increase it. I did some research and came across an article about backlinks. It made since to me at the moment, the more backlinks you have, the more Google believes your site is important. After learning that, I started searching for ways to get backlinks. I came across this site that promises hundreds of them, for FREE! All you had to do is submit your link and that’s it! I submitted my link and the next day, checked my page rank and it was zero. I abandon that website but every once and awhile I would get an email saying a customer just brought something.

It really was strange to me how people were still finding my site. I found out I had some links on eBay and that’s where they were coming from. With a page rank of zero I was still making money!

Alexa rank results

Here is a game plan that you can follow to increase your Alexa rank. At the time of this written, the 312,077 Alexa rank example used earlier in this post was this site. The first thing you need to do is copy and paste your current Alexa rank in a word document, notepad, or any word processing program you have or using. Make sure you include the time you checked it and if you created a post that day, the title of it. In addition, note any promotion you did your going to do that day.

If you didn’t post anything, the next thing is write a blog post. When creating your blog post, make sure you do your best to apply some search engine optimization (SEO). If you don’t know what that is and need to learn how to, read my post titled “What is search engine optimization (SEO)”.  There are some good tips and software that I mention.

After you have written your article and publish it, the next step is to share it to all of you social media sites you are on. Facebook is a good site to start with. Not only does it have an Alexa and its Google pagerank of 2, you can also do PPC! $5 would do just fine for starting out. If you haven’t already, create a fanpage for your blog, create one. You can use your profile account but you can’t do as much with a fanpage.

The process is complete; all you have to do is create a blog post everyday or at least once every 5 days. Then go to Alexa, copy, paste you’re ranking in the file you created and compare it from the day before.  If your rank is decreasing then you are doing it right but if it is increase, you are not promoting hard enough

So there you have it. How to increase your Alexa rank.  My Alexa rank went from 21,923,498 to 312,077 using the techniques I just explained to you in this post but there is one more step you should do, get certified!

Alexa charges $9.99 per month for the basic plan with the first mouth FREE. After you sign up you well be asked to install some script on your website or server. It may take up to 24hrs to completely get certified but after that you will know your true rank!

When the certification process is complete you might see a significant increase in your rank. This is a bad thing but don’t worry. Any website that is not certified does not have accurate data. This is crucial when trying to increase your Alexa rank or Google pagerank.  If there is one thing you remember from this blog post is to increase you Alexa rank, all you have to do is get more traffic to your site. If you need to learn how to do that, took a look at my blog post titled. “How to drive traffic to your website”.

What is affiliate marketing

What is affiliate marketing

What is affiliate marketing

Affiliate marketing is a type of performance-based marketing in which a business rewards one or more affiliates for each visitor or customer brought by the affiliate's own marketing efforts. (wikipedia.org, 2013) When people ask me what I do, I tell them, affiliate marketing and the first thing (most of time) comes out their mouth is, “you don’t be ripping people off, do you?”  That comment gets me so frustrated but I try not to let it show because whether they know it or not, that comment gives me all the information I need. It saves me so much time and energy when trying to recruit new people. With that comment alone I know they have no idea what affiliate marketing is or what affiliate marketing is about.

The only thing I can do at this point is try to explain with an example. The example usually goes something like this. Suppose you know somebody that is selling a used car (2006 Nissan Maxima SE for this example) for $10,000. You both have made an agreement where he is willing to pay you 50% of the asking price if you helped him sell it! With that in mind, one day you are over a friend’s house and your friend tells you they are looking for a new car. Your friend begins to tell you he really wants a Nissan Maxima but he doesn't know if he can afford it. You asked him how much is he trying to spend and he said, $10,000! Bingo, you just became an affiliate marketer and you just made $5,000!

Money in the eyes picture

Do you get the picture?

But wait… it gets even better. Suppose the same person you made the agreement with tells you he has 9 more. Six weeks go pass and you sell all 9! That’s a total of 10 cars, totaling $100,000. You do the math, P of $100,000… That’s $50,000! It takes some people 12 months to make $50,000, some 24.

This example was more of an offline referral marketing deal, but you get the picture, right? I use cars for this example because most people can relate to buying a car. If it was online it would go something like this.

Company ABC is an online store that sells electronics. They have an affiliate program that pays you 50% of the purchase price every time somebody buys something after clicking your affiliate link. An affiliate link is it's a special URL that contains the ID or username of the affiliate. This URL is used by the advertiser to track all traffic the affiliate sends to the advertiser's site as a part of the affiliate program. (webopedia.com)

This time you are on facebook chatting with one of your buddies and he tells you his TV just broke but he doesn't have time to go to the store because he is leaving town on a business trip for a week. In addition, he said, he wished he knew of an electronics store that could deliver the same time he plans to arrive back home.  Bingo, all you have to do is send him your affiliate link and wait for your commission check or deposit in your PayPal account.

This is just an example, now of days you can get just about anything you want from Walmart.com but what other job can you get paid for setting behind your computer, chatting to people, sending and posting links. Even the company in this example has to work harder than you do. They have to take the order, physically package and ship the product. Most affiliate products online are downloadable (eBook, video, etc…) so you don’t have to worry about inventory but you still need some tools that will help you make more money.

You are going to need an email autoresponder and website at the bare minimum. An email autoresponder is a computer program that automatically answers e-mail sent to it. (wikipedia.org, 2013) An email autoresponder also saves you tons of time by sending follow up emails automatically. I’m not going to get into why this is important but if you want to know why, you can read my blog post titled What is an auto responder.

GVO autoresponder logo

In addition, to an email autoresponder you are going to need a website of your very own. The reason is, so you can post all your affiliate links on it and promote them all with your website link. For example, go to paidfiveways.com. This site is what you get when you sign up for Stone Evans's FREE 30 Days to Success affiliate program. All you have to do is sign up; follow his directions get not 1, not 2 but 5 checks in the mail!

When starting out, there is one thing you must remember. Your friends are not all just going to beating down your door to buy whatever it is your selling and not all of them are going to be interested in what you have to say. You are going to have to search for them.

One of the quickest ways I found to do this is placing ads using targeted keywords. Ads can be free or paid but placing ads is the quickest way. Facebook PPC is a great place to start. You can set your budget as low as $2 per day and you can get clicks as low as $.01! You have to know a little something to get your clicks down to $.01 but it not so hard that you can't figure it out. There are several Facebook PPC course floating around.

safe swaps solo ad banner

If you have about $50 to $100 and you can buy solo ads form safe-swaps.com and build an email list overnight! This strategy is explained in my blog post called How to build a email list.

GVO affiliate hosting banner

To sum it all up, affiliate marketing is the best way to start out making money online.  If you are thinking about getting started in affiliate marketing I would highly recommend GVO. GVO gives you just about everything you need to get up and running TODAY and GVO has one of the best affiliate programs online! As an affiliate, if you sign up 5 people within a week, you get a bonus of $100! Once you have more than 100 direct signups, they will be pay you $500 each month and once you have more than 200, they will pay you $1000 each month and so on. All you have to do is click the link.

What is search engine optimization (SEO)

Categories :Internet Marketing

What is search engine optimization? Search engine optimization (SEO), is the process of affecting the visibility of a website or a web page in a search engine's “natural” or un-paid (“organic”) search results. (wikipedia.org, 2013) In other words, search engine optimization (SEO) is setting your website up so it will show every time someone searches for a specific word or phrase.

Take my name for example. If you type “rodneybrooksjr” in the search bar. Just about all my sites will show up on the front page of the search results!

rodneybrooksjr keyword seo search results

Picture of the seo search results for the keyword rodneybrooksjr

This is more like branding but if anybody types in rodneybrooksjr, I will dominate the search results! This is what you want to do with the keyword or phrase you pick. When somebody does a search you want to be at least on the first page but if you can be in the first five positions of the search results, you will really see some traffic and we all know what that means!.

Search engine optimization (SEO) is more than just keywords, which is called onsite seo. It also includes offsite SEO too. There is a difference between onpage and offpage SEO.  It might take you awhile to remember but onpage seo is what you do on your site (hence the word on) and offpage SEO is what you do off your site (hence the word off).

Onpage SEO

Onpage SEO consists of many different factors but if you want to learn search engine optimization, start with the Title, URL, META Description, and Keywords.

Title

Your title should be no more than 70 characters and the reason is most search engines only use 70 characters . If you want too, you can write more but the search engines will most likely disregard the rest. In addition, to the length, make sure you include one or two keywords in there too. For example if you were trying to rank for car, your title should be something like, “New hybrid car for sale – Buy this car and save on gas.” This might be a bad example but do you get the picture? Car is in the title twice. One keyword is good but if you can  put two, it will be a lot better.

URL

Yes, the URL need to be optimized too, this is the basics of SEO and just like before, make sure you include your keyword or phrase in the URL. This is not always possible but make sure you get in the habit of doing every thing you can it put it in there. If you have a blog it will be a little bit easier than somebody with a traditional website. With a blog every time you create a new post the blog uses the title as the URL (If you have to your setting set up).

Example: “https://rodneybrooksjr.com/increase-traffic-website/

My domain name is rodneybrooksjr.com but the URL also has increase, traffic, and website in it. Guess what my keywords are?

META description

META description is how search engines list your site in engines. Generally not an influence in ranking on most engines, it still gets shown as text to support a listing in natural search and does influence click through rate and relevance. (evolution search marketing, 2013) So make sure you write a description that will make somebody click on you link. The META description character rules are similar to the title rule but search engines only use 160 characters. Again, you can write more but why, It would be useless.

Here is a good example of a META description with the keyword as ice cream.:

“Buy two ice cream cones and get the third free. Friday's only from 11am to 7 pm EST.”

Notice how it is more like an ad and the keyword is only in there once but when the Rich Snippet of you site shows in the search results, you will have a about three keywords showing in bold. Two in the title, one in the URL, and one in the  META description.

Here is an example:

Picture of the seo rich snippet for the keyword rodneybrooksjr

Example of how a seo rich snippet should look like in the search results.

Keywords

Keywords play a major roll in search engine optimization (SEO) and should be researched carefully. You could get all your onpage SEO optimized but if the keyword has a lot of competition, it will be hard to rank for it.  A good tip for keyword with alot of competition, is using long tale keywords.

A Long Tale keyword is a term used to describe less searched for words but whose combined search volumes may outweigh those of the top ten keywords. As a concept, optimizing a website for long tail keywords may prove extremely successful by essentially taking a big piece of a small pie. (Web Design Directory, 2013)

Lets say you were trying to rank for the keyword word tire. The word alone might have tons of people trying to rank for it(MrTire, Tire Plus, etc…) but what about “How to fix a flat tire” or “Which tire is the best for snow” You might be able to rank for these phrases ten times faster than just the single word tire. This is just an example.

Off Page SEO

Off Page SEO refers to optimization strategies outside of your website’s design such as link building with authoritative sites with relevant content. (webopedia, 2013) Some of you that are reading this might have already done some link building but social link building.

Link build is just as it sounds, building links. The best way to build links is natural. What I mean by natural is, going to different blogs, website, directors, and dropping them yourself. You can hire somebody but make sure they are dropping them themselves.

There are software programs out there that can drop 10,000 links a day but when Google finds out, they will deindexed you in a heart beat and If you get deindexed, you will lose all the work you have done. That’s if you can convince Google to index your site again. There are advanced techniques that involve using software like that but for this post I am just going over the basics of SEO.

The software I recommend that is safe, works, and makes your search engine optimization (SEO) an 15 minute task is SEOPressor 5

How to drive traffic to your website

How to drive traffic to your website is easier then you might think! If you don’t know what I am talking about when I say drive traffic, it is the number of people that visits your site in a day, week, or year. Some websites get 3,000 visitors in a day. Some get that in a year.

523653908_0192ad68d4_oEIt is crucial to get traffic to your website if you plan on ranking number one in the search engines. The ending result of traffic equals CASH! This is the formula.

Traffic Converging = CASH

If you can remember this one formula, you will be one step ahead of today’s average Internet Marketer. You could have the best product in the world but if nobody sees it, nobody buys it. This is the best case scenario. The worst case scenario is having tons of traffic but nobody is buys anything. Which one is worst, No traffic or no converging. Take a minute and think about. What did you say? The ending result of both equals the same, NO cash.

You need traffic and you need traffic flowing constantly. Studies shows, when searching online most people usually stop looking thru the search results at page five if they can’t find what they are looking for. With that in mind, you need to be on page one. Showing up on page one of the search results will increase traffic to your website because you will be the first thing they see.

There are many different strategies on how to drive traffic to you website. One way to get website traffic is using social media. Create a Facebook fanpage and ever time you have a sale, event, or just want to say something, post it to it. I have talked to several people about this strategy and when Facebook is mentioned; the first thing come out is “facebook, that’s for the kids.”  I myself have been guilty of this and alot of young people are on fancebook but so are your customers.

Increase traffic to your website

Example of a post I promoted on my fanpage. Click on picture to see.

If your customers see you on facebook, they will most likely connect with you and share your post with their friends, which means, more traffic! That goes the same for all the rest of the social media sites as well.

This example is one way to get web traffic for free but if you have five or ten dollars to spend, you can buy website traffic using Facebook pay per click. What I suggest is every time you post a new blog post, create a post on your fanpage but don’t do this by sharing the link. Post a picture and write a description with to the link on it.

The reason why I say don’t share the link is because sometimes the picture comes out smaller or the picture is not centered so you can see all of it.

Facebook recommends a minimum width of 600 pixels for news feed pictures. Blow is a snapshot of the guidelines here is the link to Facebook’s Ads Product Guide Overview.

increase traffic to your website

Building a email list is another way how to drive traffic to your website. Every time you create a blog post sent a email to your list. if you don’t have a list, you are going to have to build one. The fastest way to build a email list is with solo ads. If you don’t know what solo ads are, they are agreements made between you and somebody else, to mail your offer to there list of subscribers for a fee. You can literally book a solo ad mailing, go to sleep and walk up and have 20 to 100 new subscribers!

The key to solo ads is giving away something free on the front in. Once they’re on your list send follow up messages about your blog post. This will get traffic to your website instantly! You can send them anything you want but for this example we want to increase traffic to your website.

If you buy a solo ad everyday for a one mouth you could get over 2,000 subscribers!. Depending on how active your they are you could have over 2,000 subscribers checking out your blog every time you send a email! That’s how to drive traffic to your website.

Below is screenshot of my GVO account and proof that you can get over 2,000 subscribers in 30 days. Don’t let people fool you. I did it and here is proof. Notice I have a 20,500-subscriber list limit. If you want a 20,500-subscriber list limit, click on the link.

Increase traffic to your website

Proof: 2,000 plus in 30 days!

Remember solo ads are agreements made between you and somebody else, to email your offer to there list of subscribers for a fee. Be carefully, there are a lot of people agreeing to sell them. Some charge as little as $25, some charge as much as $50.

Luckily I got pointed in the right direction when I signed up for this course that a multi-millionaire Internet marketer was selling. He had a whole list of solo ad sellers but I only got in contact with one person on that list and he did not want to send my offer out.

Fortunately for me the same course had more resources. One of the other sources was a site call Safe-Swaps. Safe Swaps is a network of solo-ads seller. In addiction, you can do ad-swaps. Ad-swaps are when you and somebody else agree to send each other offer to their list of subscribers for free. I will give more details in another post but for now let’s just concentrate on solo ads and how to drive traffic to your website.

Safe Swaps has hundreds of different solo ads to choose from and you don’t have to worry about getting scammed and ripped off. Safe Swaps has 15 levels of protection. The screenshot below is on there website. If you want more details click the link.

Get traffic to your website

Now you have two ways to increase traffic to your website. One is Facebook and the second is solo ads. The only thing you have to remember is blog every day or no less then once every 5 day and after you make a post get traffic to your website so people can see it. If you increase traffic to your website, Google will start placing your site at the top of the search results.

The best thing about the Affiliate Website Generator is not that it is a fully functional professionally designed review website or that it has a built in squeeze page builder, no, the best thing about Affiliate Website Generator is, it’s FREE and it runs on a FREE platform, WordPress!

You are basically set up to start building your first email list but you are going to need one more thing, can you guess? An auto responder and the best autoresponder I have found is GVOGVO stands for Global Virtual Opportunities and the reason why I am saying it is the best is because of their price and what all is included. With GVO you can have up to 20,000-subscribers on your list for as little as $11.24 per week! In, addition, you can host your review site with them and any other website you want to create! You get unlimited domain hosting!

How to build a email list

Ok, now you know what tools you are going to need, lets put it all together. How to build a email list is the question you asked. First you have to remember you need an incentive to make people give you their email address and you have to understand that just because someone give you their email address doesn’t mean they are going to buy something from you automatically.

After you figure that out, go and create an account at 90-second squeeze page and Affiliate Website Generator. Then go to GVO and sign up. Once you have signed up go pick out a domain and upload the Affiliate Website Generator plug-in to your site. The only thing left to do is get traffic to your squeeze page and watch you list grow!

What is a squeeze pageWhat's a squeeze page? The best way to explain what is a squeeze page is, a page with an opt-in form that collects a person’s information that they submit. It is also called a landing page. Some squeeze pages only ask for your email address. Others might ask for your name, address, email address, how did you find them, your telephone number and who knows what else.

p style=”text-align: left;”>Squeeze pages vary in size and design. Some can be the full width of your computer screen, some might pop up 30 seconds after you land and some might even pop up when you exit.  The next time you go to a website that promises you something but you have to submit your email address first, that’s a squeeze page. Don’t automatically think it spam or it's a scam. It marketing 101!

A squeeze page is the only way you will be able to build a massive email list and as the saying goes “the money is in the list”. If you don’t know what that means, I would suggest reading my blog post “What is an autoresponder”. If you want to make money like some of the top online marketers, a squeeze page is how it’s done!

But there is more to the story then just creating a squeeze. You have to offer something that would make a person want to submit their email address in exchange for what you are offering. All the top gurus teach giving away something free. This can be e-books, software, video, or anything you can think of. The goal is just to collect email address.
